Terry Little, a senior lecturer in the department of archaeology and heritage studies at Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Nigeria, and a senior adviser to the Trust for African Rock Art (TARA) in Nairobi, Kenya, gave a fascinating presentation on Thursday, June 26, here at the Art Deco Welcome Center.

Mr. Little brought deep insight into the preservation of rock art and the conservation challenges faced by museums as a 2024 founding board member of the Rock Art Network and a leader on a major project at a UNESCO World Heritage Site in northeast Nigeria.

This public lecture was titled “Window on the Past: Preserving Africa’s Ancient Rock Art”.
